On the morning of September 4th, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who was attending the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing
President Samia Suluhu Hassan said that I have a deep memory of my visit to China in 2022 and am glad to attend the Beijing summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation in China again. China has been actively implementing the outcomes of previous summits, and relevant cooperation has played an important role in promoting the economic and social development of African countries. I believe that this Beijing summit will make new contributions to deepening friendly cooperation between Africa and China, and effectively promote the process of industrialization and agricultural modernization in Africa. China is a trusted and indispensable partner of Tanzania. The Tanzanian Revolutionary Party has a deep brotherly friendship with the CPC. Tanzania is willing to make good use of the Nyerere Leadership Institute, deepen the party building training and experience exchange in governance with China, and constantly expand practical cooperation in various fields. The Tanzanian side highly appreciates President Xi Jinping's proposal to jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative. We are pleased to witness the activation of the Tanzania Zambia Railway during this visit and are willing to actively cooperate with China to promote the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, so that the people can reap more tangible benefits.
During the summit, China and Tanzania signed multiple bilateral cooperation documents in areas such as connectivity and agricultural trade.
